Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)

Do you need highly complex precision machining? Merrill Tool’s electrical discharge machining equipment allows us to do things that can’t be done through traditional milling, turning and grinding operations.

Our 4-axis wire EDM system is perfect for high-tolerance cutting of complex geometries, such as tapers and slots, or for machining of materials that are temperature-sensitive or too hard for conventional machining. While EDM uses high temperatures to “cut” the metal, it heats only the very surface of the part as it cuts. We have used it to produce components for:
